This piece was composed in a time of immense distress in my life. A time when I felt that I had lost everything important and close to me, and the only time in my life that I wanted to give up. It is about loss, love, and the will to carry on. The main rhythm found in this piece is taken from number 27 in a series of Poems by Bell Hooks, titled “No True Love”.
